You may have noticed that I have been gone the last 6 weeks. At least I have. I started my journey with two 2½ weeks in italy with my sweety. I enjoyed
Lago di Bolsena, a beatiful lake near rome. This time, I didn't
wreck jet-skis, luckily. Neither did I ride them. We went to rome twice - I can tell you, it is hot! We spent the first day sightseeing, we even made it into the vatican's dome. They had a sophisticated tourist-queuing system there. After spending 30 minutes in the first queue you think "
ok, I've already spent half an hour here standing in the sun and doing nothing, 10 more don't hurt". You're finally the first in the line, they let you into a room and - guess what - there's another time. After going through this procedure a couple of times, we were able to climb the dome. In the dome. Like, literally. You are walking in the wall. It's not only that it's so damn narrow, but the corridor is actually leaning. Not a nice feeling knowing that there are only some ~250 year old stairs between you, 119m (390ft) of air and the ground.
I then went to Berlin to chill with my friends for a few days, in order to prepare the camper. Originally, Florian Jannik, Roman and me planned to visit
Bornholm for a week. It turned out that Florian and Roman and even Kai were busy, so Jannik and me decided to go on our own. Bornholm is a really cool island, but it has one major problem: only people over 60 know that it's cool. But even though we didn't meet any people our age it was cool. Jannik taught me how to
swing Biggest Big Bertha on Bornholm - I loved it! I'm really into golfing now... We also did some
wakeboarding near Berlin before we went to Bornholm. Almost cooler than golfing, but definitely more exhausting ;) The next time I want to be pulled by a boat, though, as I need waves to do some jumps...
After Bornholm came Italy #2: with my girlfriend and her dad. We spent 7 days on a very cool
campground near venice. While the first two days were sunny and hot, the rest of the week we had cloudy overcast weather. Venice was da bomb nevertheless! Water, water, water. Okay, I expected that, but it really starts to be impressing when you're actually there. Good thing we don't have hurricanes here in europe, I'm not sure if venice could take them ;)
Okylydokily! I will now continue to put linux back on my workstation. I wonder how long it takes me to
configure d-link's dwl-510 ;)
