.NET Framework 1.1 installation

I was trying to install some windows software that needs the .NET Framwork 1.1 the other day. It always failed with this error message:

Problem: The german error message read: "Fehler 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.Vsa.Vb.CodeDOMProcessor,Version="7.0.5000.0",PublicKeyToken="b03f5f11d50a3a",Culture="neutral","FileVersion="7.10.3052.". Shortly before finishing, the setup would rollback all changes.

Solution: Turn off any antivirus programs you have running, and the setup should work like a charm.
