An alternative approach is to use

-o defer_permissions

This basically means "leave it to the remote server to resolve permissions issues". Assuming your login gives you the permissions you need, this seems like an elegant solution.

Sweet. This tip is still relevant today with the latest builds of MacFUSE and MacFusion.

The current path to the static sshfs directory has changed. It is:
/Applications/Macfusion.app/Contents/PlugIns/sshfs.mfplugin/Contents/Resources

Just do a "defaults read org.eclipse.eclipse AppleAntiAliasingThreshold" before applying a new value.

If you don't like the new setting, just write the old setting again, or, if it didn't exist before, just "defaults delete ..." it.
