The summer is almost over, here in California. I will leave to germany on saturday. The time since my last post has been fun and eventful, Sterling and I saw the Blue Angels at the SF Fleetweek 2006, and went to the Mezzanine again. This time we saw Method Man and the Wu-Tang Clan, that was the best show I've ever seen. Really. Wohooow! It was followed by a little trespassing incident on our part, leading to some relaxation in a San Mateo hot tub at 3am until the inhabitants of the apartment complex, aparently less relaxed, were screaming at us in a very weird language.

Today we went to Counter Burger in Palo Alto where Jeff (Team America) and I (Team Germany) enjoyed the famous one pound burgers and 1.5 liters of CocaCola, while the rest of the Renkooks nibbled on their happy meals. As I mentioned earlier, I went to the A Tribe Called Quest concert two weeks ago. Of course it was da bomb, that was clear from the beginning. Yesterday was a glorious day. Let me start one week earlier though. I was talking to sterling on AIM when he sent me a link to two hilarious trailers of the new Borat movie. After I checked them out I knew even more i HAD to see this movie. Unfortunately, it comes out on November 3rd, when I'm already back in germany. On top of that, it usuaally takes more 6 months until the movies are released in Germany. Too bad. But read on...

I was going east on 92 on my way home from the office, when I took a look over my left shoulder and was knocked over by the great view of San Francisco's silhouette. The sky was glowing in beautiful colors that the sun left there for me before it had to leave for today. The picture above was taken tonight in front of Sterling's apartment.

Anyways, it was a nice week at work but also the weekends have been great! Last week Sterling, Jana and I went to see A tribe called quest performing live in Berkeley. Can you kick it? Wohooow, that was a great night!

Yesterday we went to Pigeon John's release Party at Boca in San Francisco. The Bar Of Contemporary Art turned out to be a really small but very nice location with a rather private athmosphere and no stage. More like a Party! Lyrics Born was there too and joined John for one song, together they were amazing. I even got to have quick chat with John, he seems to be a really nice guy. And he signed one of his T-Shirts for me:

The quieter the blog, the busier it's owner. So here you go with a few updates!

• Monday: First day sitting at Renkoo.com's Redwood City office. Great people, great project, great time! Wohoow! And also the main reason for me posting so infrequently these days.
• Wednesday: Renkoo sponsored me with baseball tickets to see a Giants game in SBC ball park. It was very cool, and actually not at all boring (like Baseball used to be, for me. But then again, I only watched it on tv, so..). I took a lot of pictures of course, they're in my photoset and start here. Thanks for the ride, Joyce & Adam!
• Saturday: Leo and I took a trip to the San Francisco Zoo which was pretty cool, if it wasn't for the fact that my camera's battery died after 7 pictures. Damnit! But I bought a Charger (I left mine in Augsburg) and a car adapter the next day at bestbuy, so I could take pictures at:
• Sunday: Alcatraz! I've been there about 11 years ago with my dad, and went again on sunday. This time with Leo! It didn't change a lot, but was a very cool trip once again. I took a lot of pictures, which I will upload to flickr once I had the time to load them from my camera. If you plan on going too, I can recommend to buy your tickets from blue & gold fleet, the tickets are $16,50 and you get to stay on Alcatraz as long as you like. I saw some sites that were offering Alcatraz trips for as much as $36, and in the fine print you could read that they don't even let you go on the island.
• Monday: Eric of zazzle.com invited us Renkooks to check out their facilities. They make T-Shirts, Mugs, Stamps and Posters with custom pictures on them. It was a really cool trip with (funny) insights on their business. Thanks, guys!
