Sterling, Keith and I went to see DJ Krush at the Mezzanine in SF on friday. Kid Beyond was the opener and truly amazing. Even though I'm not so much into Drum'n'Base music, his performance was the bomb. He did a lot of beatboxing to start out with, and then switched to creating songs on stage with a looping device that allowed him to record different "layers" of the song and then mix them on the fly stage. Really, really cool.
I liked him a lot better than DJ Krush, people were much more active during his songs ;-) I only took very few pictures on friday night, though, as a tripod is not the best thing to use in a club.
